Hunt, Rapp, Miss Rogers, Coleman, Macomber, watson, laacdo-ald , and Mitchell. The meeting convened at 7:45 P. ;�Q. , I'liss Janet P. Rogers, Temporary Chairman. Final hearing was held on the application of Joyce Farr, Owner of lot y'5, blocks, Easton Addition 'l, and the application of Catherine Cody Rittman., Owner of lot m4, block ` 5, Easton Addition ,-,`1. The applications requested that the classification be changed to commercial, to be used in connection with a chain Store as proposed by :,ir. Boyce Muir. After considerable discussion, in which l;r. Parks and tar. Ratto, property Owners on Broadway, opposed extension of business to side streets until lower Broadway is built up, -Ar. Muir stated that vaca it proper%- on Broadway is held at too high a value to make it a pro- fitable investment and that his clients would not give it any consideration. mr. W. S. Nielson, Realtor at 1407 Broadway, however, claimed that, if permitted, it would stimulate business. In the matter of the Commissions approval of Duplex Zoning on.Trenton Way and on portion of Bloomfield Road in the Oak Grove ianore-Burlingables Subdivision, the Committee representing Property Owners and Mr. Lang stated they were unable to arrive at a satisfactory conclusion and left it to the descretion of the Commission. In view of the strong opposition to duplexes that developed and until such time as the status of. block 43 is determined the Commission by unanimous vote rescinded its previous action. r'or the motion to rescind: Macomber, Coleman, Rapp, Rogers and Macdonald.
