Sanderson, dated on March 25, 1940, requesting that a permit be issued him to operate a school for teaching and instruction of Swedish massage at 1247 E1 Camino Real, that he had already arranged to acquire the property. in line with the policy of the Commission, not to recommend business on S1 Camino Real, and in compliance with an Ordinance prohibiting business on this thoroughfare, voted unanimously to deny the application°. A letter was read from Mr. G. N. Kimball, residing at 1525 Burlingame Avenue, requesting that the property at the above address be rezoned from First residential to Apartments, that he wanted to convert his home into Apartments. The district west of,El Camino Real is composed of one family- dwellings. it has always been the policy of the Commission to deny any and all requests for Apartments or any other changes in the classification that would infringe on the privacy of a purely home district. Accordingly, the Commission rejected the application by unanimous vote and to advise the City Council of this action. Members of the Commission were asked to meet in the City Hall on April 11, to consult with s r. hongson concerning certain projects under contemplation.. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P. M.
