A letter was read from Lir. R. H. Sanderson, dated on
March 25, 1940, requesting that a permit be issued him
to operate a school for teaching and instruction of
Swedish massage at 1247 E1 Camino Real, that he had
already arranged to acquire the property. in line with
the policy of the Commission, not to recommend business
on S1 Camino Real, and in compliance with an Ordinance
prohibiting business on this thoroughfare, voted
unanimously to deny the application°.
A letter was read from Mr. G. N. Kimball, residing at
1525 Burlingame Avenue, requesting that the property at
the above address be rezoned from First residential to
Apartments, that he wanted to convert his home into
Apartments. The district west of,El Camino Real is
composed of one family- dwellings. it has always been
the policy of the Commission to deny any and all requests
for Apartments or any other changes in the classification
that would infringe on the privacy of a purely home
district. Accordingly, the Commission rejected the
application by unanimous vote and to advise the City
Council of this action.
Members of the Commission were asked to meet in the City
Hall on April 11, to consult with s r. hongson concerning
certain projects under contemplation..
The meeting adjourned at 8:30 P. M.
