Dear Mr. Smith -Hanes
Your request for a hillside area construction permit was reviewed by property owners within 100 feet,
the Planning Commission and the City Council. Since there was no appeal, a hillside area construction
permit to construct a 216 SF -single story sunroom area at the rear of the existing house at 1680 Skyline
Blvd, zoned R-1, was approved effective April 24, 2006. The plans submitted to the Building
Department for a Building Permit must be consistent with the plans submitted to the Planning
Department and date stamped March 16, 2006.
All site improvements and construction work will require separate application to the Building
Department. This approval is valid for one year during which time a building permit must be issued.
One extension of up to one year maybe considered by the Planning Commission if application is made
before the end of the first year.

The Burlingame Planning Department has received an application for a Hillside Area Construction
Permit at the following address:

BLVD, ZONED R-1. The addition will be at the rear of the house, it will be built over a concrete
slab poured at grade and the proposed height of the addition (9'-2") is below the height of the existing
building (12'-9").
Your property is located within 100 feet of this property. A hillside area construction permit has been
requested to allow this addition based on Municipal Code Section 25.61.
Any noticed property owner may call this item up for additional review. If you would like to request
that this project be reviewed, which includes a public hearing, you should submit a written and
signed request to the City Planner within seven days of the postmark on this letter. A copy of the
site plan, floor plans and building elevations are enclosed for your review.
Unless review of the application is requested it shall be determined that the placement of the proposed
construction shall not have a substantial impact on the adjacent properties or on the character of the
neighborhood. If you have any questions regarding this proposal, the review process, or you would
