Burlingame held in the ity Hall, on
Thursday eveni-,,_., May 23, 1940.
11he meeting was called to order at 7:40 P. M., Jas.
H. ?!Mitchell, pr3siding.
fir. R. L. Coles, 2020 Adeline give,, appointed to fill
the unexpired term of the late Janal P. Rogers, was
sworn in by City Attorney x.armel and took his seat.
Mr. G. A. Brown, 716 Concord Way, was appointed to fill
the unexpired term of u. W. Coleman, retired, was also
seated, having already taken the bath of office at the
Council inrteeting. other aembers present were A. J. Rapp,
E. R. McDonald, jas. Watson, Dr. Macomber, C.1. Longson,
and C. Macdo _ald.
The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved
as read.
Final hearing was held on the petition asking that lots
A to R and V, Block A, Hurlingame Terrace Subdivision,
be rezoned to Second Residential to permit .duplexes.
The petition was tentatively approved at the meeting on
April 25. Property Owners concerned were notified by
mail and notices were posted on the Bulletin hoard in the
City hall, but no protests or objections entered with the
Commission.
A notion by C. Macdonald, that the petition be granted
and to so recommend to the :',ity Council, seconded by 1. J.
Rapp, was carried unanimously. Ayes: Rapp, Coles, Brown,
Mitchell, _ acorAber and Ma-.donald. Noes: none. _absent:
None.
At the conclusion of the .2usiness session, the customary
discussion on certain jivic problems was Yormally in-
dulEed in.
mr. Longson advised that a the -,k or, the flow of traffic
particularly rias just been5completed by the estate, and
that the results obtained will be made available to the
21annin6 Commission shortly.
