' 1 U Planning Commission & City Council of the City of Burlingame 267 Park Road Burlingame, California March 7, 1967 Attention: Mr. George I2ann, Planning Director Gentlemen: Enclosed is a Special Permit Application and our check for $40.00. There is a location plan attached showing the area in the southeast corner of the acreage 2eased to Syufy Enterprises for the operation of their drive-in theatres on hich Anza Pacific proposes to reassemble and erect the shog building previousiy on the property at 1400 Bayshore occupied by the Kunz Paving Company. Also attached is a plot plan showing the location of the structure on the property in relation to the existing drive-in movie screen tower and another diagram showing the details of fihe constructiaei of this building. Anza Pacific proposes to utilize this area for the storage and service of its own equipment used in connectioa with the development of its properties. Upon completion of this buil.ding, we will remove the preset facilities northeast of the dump property where we presently park our equipment. This area to be cleared is the area covered by the preliminary map of Anza Airport Park No. 4 recently approved by the Planning Commission. The building to be erected is the one covered by a temporary permit at 1400 Bayshore and this structure was removed prior to the expiration of this temporary period in accordance with our promises to your Commission. Please note that this shop wi.11 be located on the drive-in theatre property at an el.evatfon approximately 4 ft. to 5 ft, below the normal ground levels between this property and Beach Road; thus lowering substantially the silhouette of the buil.ding and hiding it from ready view. Tde also propose to extend the chain-Iink fence with redwood slats to further screen the area up another 6 feet. In addition to that, we will plant shrubbery alon.g the fence both to the south and to the east of the shop area; thus screening it, not only from the presently developed areas of Anza Airport Park No. 1 and 2, but from the future County Park properties to the east. The property is presently zoned M-1 and in this zoning a contractar`s yard is a permitted use with Special Permit. We feel that this location would provide a sheltered and screened place for ANZA PACIFIC CORP. 1310 Bayshore Highway • Burlingame, California 94010 -. 342-5711 s 0 ANZA PACIFIC C06ZP. u r Planning Commission & City Council of the City of Burlinga.me March 7, I967 Page Two the consCruction equipment and machinery necessary to comglete the develop- ment of this property over the next five to ten years.
