_i Special meeting of the Planning jommission was held in
the ;ity ball, Burlingame, on rebruary 17, 1938. resent
were: J. ti. ISitchell, iir. i-i. Wade ma.combe:r, .A.. J. Rapp,
U. Jolemar, U. L. Longson, oas aatson, and j. Macdonald.
lbsent were: Miss itogers, w. 'f. Fives,
Mr. earl Anderson repr�isenting jhre. i'inkham, stated if
the property was rezoned for business purposes, ;rs
`ink.zam would be willing to comply with any reasonable
restrictions that might be applied in order to avoid any
un.:.esirable business on the highTooay; also that such
business be first slbmitted for the approval of the amity
officials; also that mrs Pinkham would agree to grant property
reasonably needed for -3asements for contemplated improve-
ments in the future. 8n this basis the Uommission voted to
recommend that the request be granted.
The Uommission also coiatemplatad to acid an amendment to the
coning urdinance to cover intersections of the ilighway such 3s
vhapin avenue and other future business thoroughfares of a
similar character, and to comer with city zittorney llavis on
the subject. The proposed change in classification was
discussed with a committee appointed by property oriners. i•.o
opposition was made agai:ist the proposed :rezoning and it was
arranged to hold a tentative iiearing on rebruary LI4.
