The stated meeting or the Planning Commid.dion for the
month of march was held in the jity Hall, on Thursday
evening march 31. The meeting was called, to order at
7:50 P. M., Jas. H. Mitchell, presiding., Other
members present were: S. W. Coleman, A. J. Rapp, Miss
Janet P. Rogers, Dr. Macomber, C. L. ljohgsan, Jas.
Watson, and G. Macdonald. Members abs-aht, were: W. W.
Hives, and John F. Davis.
A communication was received from Mrs Blumer, asking
to defer action on the rezoning of Primrose Road,
between Bayswater and Howard Avenues for the time
being; to which the Commission agreed.
The petition from Mrs Blumer to rezone for Apartments
lot t14, block #11, and lot J13, block J1.2, both
facing on Chula Vista Avenue, was oprreoted to read,
lot „`14, block ill, only at the request of Mrs Blumer.
The policy of the Commission being against Spot
,= Zoning, the petition was extended to include lots.#13
to 18, in block j1, lots 18 to 28, block #10, and lots
#14 to 23 in block 411, all inclusive and located on
the Borth -east Side of Chula Vista Avenue; also lots
15-16-17, block 610, and lots 24-25-26, block #11,
facing on Sanchez Avenue.
The application as amended was tentatively approved,
Final hearing to be held on 'Thursday, April 14.
A letter was received from the Henry J. Kaiser
Company, 1522 Latham Square Building, Oakland, re-
questing permission to construct a Spur Track to a p
proposed Conorete Mix Plant to be constructed in
the Industrial District, South of Broadway and bet-
ween the Southern Pacific Tracks and the Ba.yshore
Highway.
Prints displayed by the Companies representative,
Mr. R. S..Barneyback, indicated the proposed plant
is of a modern type and The Commi:ssioh racommended
that permission to construct a Spur Track be granted.

A letter was received from the Broadway Development
Association rrgarding the widening of Broadway between
California Drive and Bayshore.Highway, with particular
reference to the Highway intersection, sn.ggestinE
the beautifying therof by setting out lawns and
shrubbery to improve the entrance to the City as has
been done at E1 Camino Real and University Avenue,
Palo Alto.
The Secretary was requested to ask the Broadway
Development association to appoint a committee to meet
with the Commission in a joint session to talk over
this matter as well as other projects such as,
consolidating the Business Area, Parking Facilities,
and so forth.
The Secretary was also requested to advise the City
Council of the Action Taken.
There being no further business, the meeting :.
