The regular meeting of the Planning 3ommission
was held in the City Hall, Burling$me, on
Thursday evening April 28, 1938.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M.,
Ja.s R. Mitchell presiding. Other memb!rs pre-
sent: A. J. Rapp, G. W. Coleman, Dr. Macomber,
and C. Macdonald. Members absent: Mayor Ward,
J. F. Davis, A. L. Longson, and Missy Rogers.
The application of Mr. M. J. Kelly of San
Francisco asking permission to erect a 1-2
family dwelling on lots 1 and 2, block i12,
Burlingave Grove necessitated a change in the
classification from Residential to Apartmexts
and to comply with the policy of the Commission
OUO2 Illock jj'12 and lots 7 and 20„ in block
13, were included. Tentative approval was
voted final hearing to be held at a special
meeting on May 5, 1938.
The Secretary was instructed to ask the Council
to provide 12 maps of the City--6 each colored
and 6 each plain for the use of the commission.
Plans submitted by Mr. Roy C. Shirkey to erect
an Apartment Rouse on lot 18, block k21, west-
erly side of l Camino Real, opposite Lincoln
avenue were approved.
Ths application of L. M. Macdorald to sub-
divide property at 1424 Benito Avenue to permit
of an additional hoase was denied account in-
sufficent area.
The Commission expressed its belief that it
would be advantageous to both bodies to have a
representative of the Council attend the meet-
ing: of the Commission.
There being no further business the meeting
