ORDINANCE REIUIRING SPECIAL PERMIT FOR CERTAIN GROCEP,Y,
DRUG AND DEPARTMENT STORES
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY Dr CIURLINGAME does ORDAIN as follows.
Section 1. Suhsertiu 105 11 & 12 are hereby added to Section
25136.030 of the Burlingame Municipal Code, requiring special permits for
'certain uses, _'o read as follows:
"TU. C-2 uses in the block described in Section 25.36.035,
11. Certain grocery, drug and department stores as described in
Section 25.36.036,
12, Gasoline stations as described in Section 25.74.020."
"25.36.036 Grocery, drug and department stores. grocery, drug or
department store uses shall require a special permit if they:
1. Operate outside the hours of 7:00 alm. to 11.00 p.m.; or
2. Include sale of alcoholic beverages; or
3. Abut a residential district and do not meet the following '
requirements:
(a.) all structures have a maximum height of eighteen (18) feet.
(b.) a solid wall or fence of six (6) feet in height is to``
be provided on or about the property line abutting the
residential district,
(c.) structures cover no more than 50% of the lot.
(d.) at least 120% of required off-street parking is'provided.
(e.) no curb -cut is closer than twenty ,five Q51 reet to the
residential district,
Section

Section 3. This ordinance
shall be published
as required
by law,

certify that this foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meetiro of
the City Council held on the 7th day of March ,1983, and was
adopted thereafter at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 18th
day
of April ,1983, by the following vote:
