Stated meeting of the Planning Commission of the City
of Burlingame held in the Oity ball on Thursday evening,
January,7th,1937. meeting called to,order Rt 7:40 PM,
Jas•H.Mithhell presiding: Other members present,C.A.Buck-
Yiss Janet P.Rogers-H.P.V ollmer-Dr.H.Wade comber-
G.s'J.Coleman-Jno.F.Davis-F.D.Anderson-C.L.Longson-Jas.Watson

The minutes of the meeting of Deeember,10th,1936 were
read and approved.
A petitbon,signed by sixteen properjy owners on Burlingame
Avenue ,extending from El Camino Real to Occidental :avenue,
to reclassify all ofthe lots fronting on Burlingame avenue
both sides thareof,from resedentlal to anApartment house
district was submitted by Kirkbride and Wilson.
Mr.Look and Mr.4°dilson,speaking in behalf of the petitioners,
stated that allot the houses were old houses and also too
large for single family dwellings and asked the Commission for
a favorahle action.
The Commission ordered that notices be sent to Property Owners
in th9 immediate neighborhood that a, meeting would be held
on Thursday evening,da,nuary_28th,1937,at which time arguments
for or against the proposed change in classification would
be entertained.
The application of the Signal Oil do.to erect a gas statm.on
at Broadway and 6hula Vista,was, for apparent lack of jurisdic-
tiction.disposed of without comment.
Similar action was taken in the case of Mr.Carl `morello to
build a gas station gh at Chapin and Primrose9this point
having recently been created an arterialstop.
it was recommended that'City attorney Davis prepare an Ordinance
to regulate the number of Gasoline stations that may be
permitted in any certain area.
The request of Ar.Lauder for a permit to erect an ipartment
house in blockiol,Burlingame Par'c Nb 4.facing on ,l Camino
Real was approveAthe Building Inspector to sae required set-
back be complied,and also that the height of the fence b3 r_4d+*at
reduced.

Hoag were approved..
L-iinor -Lm rovements baing made By 1.4.rs Baker,1516 Ralston _'venue,
were ordered held up,members of the Commission wishing to
inspect same.
