The regular meeting of the Planning Commianion
was held in the City Hall, Burlingame, on Thursday
evening, February 25, 1937.
Present were Chairman Jas. Mitchell, C. A. Buck,
R. P. Vollmer, C. Macdonald, G. Coleman, J. 11.

Davis, Dr. Wade Macomber, 1iss Rogers and James Watson.
In disoussing the petition to -rezone to apartment::
all of the properties situated in the 1500 block fac-
ing on Burlingame .avenue, ter. E. 1. Carpentier, resid-
ing at 1545 Burlingame Avenue, spoke in opposition to
permitting apartments on the grounds that lots in this
particular area were too small and that they covered
too much of the ground; thus leaving insufficent
clearances to the detriment of the neighbouring resid-
ences.
Mr. Locka also stated that he favored first class
buildings.
Air. Buck gave notice that on xaarch 12, the
County -Planning commission would invite the various
City Planning Commissions of the Peninsula to meet
together at the Franklin hotel.
it was the opinion of the members that the need
of revieving the zoning ordinences particularly;
relating to apartment houses was apparent; and that
the services of a consultant engineer should be secured
to make a study of the problem. Y1ittL this in view,
Chairman Xiitehell was asked to discuss the matter with
sir. Pomeroy.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 r. u.
