The Planning Commission met in executive
session April 8, 1932, members present were
C. A. buok, Sias. H. Mitohell, G. 4 Coleman,
Dr. Macomber, Chas Macdonald, H. P: Vollmer.
Mr. Nelson, of nelson and Shirkey, wished
to know if it would be in order to errect a
Gasoline Service Station at East Zane and Howard
Avenue. the question of sufficent distance from
other established stations was bf'ought up, but
no action was taken pending further investigation.
He action was taken on the oom-aunication from
the Associated Oil Company requesting permission
to make additions to its property at Broadway and
Sl Camino steal, the !Commission wishing to first to
investigate the matter further.
r. Pomeroy addressed the meeting at length
on the subject of zoning and gave an intarresting
analysis in the matter which was very much enjoyed
by the members present.
A motion was made and carried that the City
Council be requested to retain the services of
sir. Pomeroy as a consultant for a period of six
months to assist the Planning Commission on the
subject of zoning at a fee of 1-,50.00 per month.
it was decided to direct the attention of the
Council to the Senate bill BO 180 which passed the
upper House at Sacremento and to be acted upon soom
,gy the Assembly. This trill provides that signs
and billboards be permitted in areas where they may
be forbidden by County Zoning Reglzlations.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 P. a.
