the meeting of the Commission scheduled for Thursday,
June 24, was postponed to Friday, June,25, in order
to accomodate the itenary of xr. Gordon Whitnall who
was invited to speak on the question of zoning and
other problems pertinent to the good of the pity of
Burlingame.
Members of the pity ;ouncil and other ity Officials,
as well as of the Planning commission during Air.
Whituell-s address, which consumed one hour and a
quarter.
xefearring to the question of zoning, he statted he
was not familiar with any of the iramadiate problems
sufficiently to give advice as to what best course
to puBsue, uut in his opinion it became more a case
of engineering for which Burlingame was well equipped
and capable of taking care of its own problems.
He spoke chiefly on the question of traffic and what
is being accomplished in other parts of the :Mate,
such as Loa Angeles where old buildings are being
torn down to provide more parking spaces.
At the conclusion of his talk he invited questions of
which kayor Hives and others took advantage.
no other business was transacted, the meeting closing
at 9:30 -e. M.
