The stated meeting of the Planning Commission was
held in the ;ity fall on xhursday evening, July 29..
Meeting called to order at 7:30 m. , .gas. it.
Mitchell presiding.
Some discussion took place on the appearance of
Burlingame Square, it being the general opinion that
steps should be taken to improve the 'edestrian
Safety enclosure, that much of the space could be
made available for landscaping or to give it''a;more
presentable appearance.
`1.°he Secretary was instructed to recommend to the City
ouncil.
in the matter of parking cars on Lrlamino heal, it
was claimed that cars so parked on this thoroughfare
created a minace to traffic, reference being made to
cars parked opposite Apartment houses, that they
should be allowed 15 minutes only.
The Secretary was instructed to recommend to the jity
Jouncil that some action be taken to limit parking
time for Automobiles- on the entire length of the
highway, both sides thereof.
mr. r. h. uimmerman applied for a permit to construct
an Apartment Court on the Borth -Easterly line of the
bayshore boulevard, slightly east of Xhe present
.curlingame motel, with a frontage of about 200 ft. and
a depth of 300 ft. The prospective owners to be
rar. and hirs j. v . Hau, 1644 Sheridan -,iva . , San Diego,
California.
it was the recommendation of the commission that a
permit be granted for the first unit, subject to any
modification that may be recommended by the Fire
Department to guard against Fire tlaza.rd. Tentative plana
were returned to the City vouncil for its consideration.
it was understood the second anit would be built later
on.

it was moved,.seconded, and carried that opting to
vacation period no meeting would be held in the
month of August, except in case of urgency.
