Speoial Meeting.
This meeting was especially called for the purpose of
giving further consideration to the application of
Martin an6 Company,Real esate agents,to subdivide lot
No,35,1ocated at the corner of Barrioleht and Occidental
Avenues,which matter was discussed at the previous meeting.
The application was made in behalf of Mrs,Laura D.Buse.*,
asking that the lot be divided into two paroels,or two
distinct lots. Mr. Dahl,owner of the adjoining lot, made
objection to the proposal,claiming that it would be detrimental
to the neighborhood.
Mr.J.B.Cookoroft of the Martin Realty qGp ,mantained that
the class of houses intended to be built woWd come up to the
standard of houses now in the locality ,submitting at the
same time sketches of the kind of houses would be built,
as well as the axact locations.
After considerable discussion a motion was made that the
application be granted: Result,for the motiion-Coleman,Vollmer,
Macdonald: Against-Mitohell,Miss Rogers. The motion was
carried by a majority of 3 to 2.
In the case of Mr.and Mrs kreh asking„that they be permitted
to raise the Building on lot "An ,block #9,Burlingame Terrace,
and to also add an Apartme#t. No action was taken,partioularly
in so far as adding an apartment in as much as the property
was in the resedential zone. Any work done to t*16 ramedy
the water condition would be taken care of by the building
Inspector.
Mr. O'.C.Sponheim,speaking in behalf of Mrs,Baker,Ralston =avenue,
wished to make certain changes on a small.building in the rear
of her house --,now used. fer=;.,I,aundry purposes. The conversion to
consist of a kitchen ete,for her own use. • The request was &®n
denied as the property is not zoned for apartments,nor for
more than -one single dwelling.
