EXHIBIT A
AMENDMENT TO CITY OF BURLINGAME HOUSING ELEMENT
I. Add to page 16 of the Housing Element:
- Regional Need.
As a part of the Bay Area Burlingame will share, to some extent, in the overall
growth of the nine county area. The City's housing share of this regional growth
is dependent upon a number of factors, foremost among them is in -migration to the
region, but other factors affecting the City's share are things such as type and
tenure, i.e., ownership and rental, of housing, income levels of households,
existing housing, county employment and housing stock conditions, i.e., replacement
needs. Based on all of these factors Burlingame's share of the regional housing
need is as follows:
Existing Need 1980 (DU) Projected Need 1985 (DU)
$-19,151+ 19,150-12,776 12,775-8,000 7,999-0
