HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 063-1982._SOLUTION NO. 63-82 AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS, DOCUMENTS AND PAPERS WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of California provides that with the approval of the legislative body by resolution, and with the consent of the City Attorney, the head of a city department may, with certain exceptions, de- stroy any city record, document, instrument, book or paper not less than two (2) years old, without making a copy thereof, and after the same is no longer required and: WHEREAS, the BURLINGAME POLICE DEPARTMENT has recommended the destruction of certain records, more particularly described below: NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Burlingame, California, does hereby RESOLVE AND DETERMINE as follows: 1. Pursuant to Section 34090 of the California Government Code, the BURLINGAME POLICE DEPARTMENT of this City be, and is hereby authorized to destroy the following records, documents and papers in the possession of their office and which are more than two (2) years old: A) Accidents (vehicle) through 1978 B) Moving citations - 1979 C) Parking Citations through September 1, 1980 D) Parking Citations June 1978 to November, 1978 E) Moving Citations through 1974 F) Parking Citations April 1979 G) Parking Citations June 1979 H) Parking.Citations December 1978 I) Parking Citations April 1979 J) Moving Citations 1978 K) Parking Citations 1979 2. None of said records, documents and papers constitute records affecting the title to real property or liens thereon, court records, records required to be kept by statute, or minutes, ordinances or resolutions of the: City Council, or of any City board or commission. MAYOR EVELYN H. HILL, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, California, does hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of October , 1982, and was adopted thereafter by the follow- ing vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP, BARTON, CROSBY, MARTIN NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: MANGINI CITY CLERK I consent to the destruction of the records, documents and papers more particularly described in the foregoing Resolution.
