HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 063-2025RESOLUTION NO. 063-2025 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME DECLARING 1,400 IPS PARKING METERS AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THEIR DISPOSAL WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame's Police Department has determined that 1,400 existing IPS parking meters have reached the end of their useful life; and WHEREAS, these IPS parking meters are being replaced with new McKay parking meters, rendering the IPS meters obsolete for City operations; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to dispose of these surplus meters to maximize their residual value or facilitate their efficient removal; and WHEREAS, any proceeds generated from the sale of these meters will be deposited into the Parking Enterprise Fund to offset the costs associated with the replacement of the IPS parking meters. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Burlingame as follows: 1. That the 1,400 IPS parking meters are hereby declared surplus property. 2. That the City Manager or her designee is hereby authorized to dispose of these 1,400 IPS parking meters by any appropriate means, including, but not limited to, sale, transfer to other governmental agencies within San Mateo County, or disposal. 3.
