HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 016-1982I� RESOLUTION NO. 16— 82 IN SUPPORT OF IMPROVEMENT OF STATE HIGHWAY 92 AND URGING THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND ALL CITIES WITHIN THE COUNTY TO TAKE A SIMILAR POSITION. WHEREAS, the disposal of the solid waste of the majority of the residents of San Mateo County will have to be accomplishe, at the Ox Mountain site in central San Mateo County and, WHEREAS, said site is only accessible from Highway 92, which highway is a two lane, twisting and dangerous road which must be improved for the protection of the residents of San Mateo County and, WHEREAS, the general access to the coastside of this County requires that Highway 92 be improved, NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City of Burlingame hereby encourages the County of San Mateo and each city in San Mateo County to go on record for the improvement of Highway 92 to two lanes in either direction in order to protect the safety and welfare of the coastside residents and to enable better access for the important functions of the cities of San Mateo County. Mayor I, EVELYN H. HILL, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the Burlingame City Council held on the 1st day of March 1982, and was adopted thereafter by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP, BARTON, CROSBY, MANGINI, 14ARTIN NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEN NONE j �✓ '/ice C�ty Clerk �c��
