DECLARING RESULT OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
OF NOVEMBER 8, 1983
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in the Ci
of Burlingame, on Tuesday the 8th day of November, 1983; and
WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
given as required by law; voting precincts were duly established;
election officers were appointed and voting supplies furnished,
and in every respect and manner the said election was held and
conducted, and the votes case were received within the time and
manner prescribed by the law of the State of California controlli
elections in general law cities; and
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame duly
convened at the usual place on Monday, the 21st day of November
1983, to review the Certificate of the County Clerk regarding the
canvass of the returns of said election and to install the newly
elected officers, and as a result of such canvass the said City
Council finds that the number of votes cast, the persons for whom
such vote was cast, and all other matters required by law, are
hereinafter stated;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the said election hel
in the City of Burlingame on Tuesday, the 8th day of November,
1983, was conducted in the time, manner and form required by the
law of the State of California governing elections in general law
cities.
That the number of ballots cast in said election was
15,085. That the names of the persons and offices voted for, the
of votes given at each precinct and in the City to each
Jerson are as set forth in EXHIBIT A attached hereto.
That at said General Municipal Election GLORIA H. BARTON,
and FRANK PAGLIARO were elected Members of City Council of the Ci
of Burlingame for the full term of four (4) years.

EVELYN H. HILL, City Clerk does hereby certify that the
foregoing resolution was introduced at a special meeting of the
City Council held on the 21st day of November, 1983, and was
adopted thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP, BARTON, MANGINI, MARTIN
NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE

IN THE CITY OF BURLINGAME Regular MUNICIPAL
ELECTION CONSOLIDATED WITH THE SCHOOL
GOVERNING BOARD AND CONSOLIDATED ELECTIONS
Held on November 8, 1983
I, MARVIN CHURCH, County Clerk for the County of San Mateo, do
hereby certify to the City Council of the City of Burlingame, that after
the closing of the polls at the City of Burlingame Municipal Election
Consolidated with the School Governing Board and Consolidated Elections
held on Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 1983, within the City of Burlingame
for the purpose of electing two members of the City Council for a four
year term, I caused to have taken off and recorded from the voting machines
used at said polling places and I caused to be canvassed the absentee
ballots cast at said election within the City of Burlingame.
I HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFY that the record of votes cast at said
polling places and the results of the canvass of the absentee ballots cast
for the various candidates for the office of Member of City Council for a
four year term, is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference as though fully set forth at length.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I hereunto affix my hand and seal this 16th
day of November, 1983, and file this date with the City Council of the City
of Burlingame.
