RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR EXTENSION
OF PENINSULA COMMUTE SERVICE TO NEW DOWNTOWN TERMINAL
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame, County of
San Mateo, California that:
WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation has studied the critical
need for an extension of the Peninsula Commute Service to a new downtown
San Francisco terminal, and
WHEREAS, extension of service to a new terminal is anticipated to at
least double ridersh.iprof the commute service to help relieve traffic congestion
on Route 101 and 280 Freeways.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, the City of Burlingame supports the
improvements being studied by Caltrans, especially the need for a new, permanent,
downtown terminal and urges all public agencies to support their effort,

that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council
held on the 17th day of October, 1983, and was adopted thereafter by the following
