APPROVING THE APPLICATIO14 AND THE PROJECT AGREEMENT FOR
HISTORIC PRESERVATION GRANTS-IN-AID FUNDS FOR
BURLINGAME -STATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Congress under Public Law 89-665 has
authorized the establishment of a National Historic Preservation
Grants -in -Aid Program, providing matching funds to the State of
California and its political subdivisions for historic preservat-
ion, survey, planning, -development, and acquisition projects; and
WHEREAS, the California Office of Historic Preservation
is responsible for the administration of the program within the
State, setting up necessary rules and procedures governing applic-
ation by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said adopted procedures established by the
California Office of Historic Preservation require the applicant
to certify by resolution the approval of applications and the
availability of local matching funds prior to submissions of said
applications to the State;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the CITY OF
BURLINGAME hereby:
1. Approves the filing of an application by State of
California Department of Transportation for the National Preservat
ion Grants -in -Aid assistance for project; and
2 The City of Burlingame authorizes a City contribu
of not to exceed $25,000 as part of the grant application.
