APPROVAL OF AGENDA V. ITEMS FOR ACTION 1. Variance to allow a second floor addition at 2828 Hillside Drive, a portion of which extends 4' into the rear 15' setback area (APN 027-103-170), zoned R-1, by Marion and Sarah Boling (applicants and property owners). 2. Three Special Permits and two Variances to legalize an existing spa room and detached garage at 1255 Bernal Avenue constructed by a previous owner without building permits (APN 026-173-280), zoned R-1, by Kay Bradley (applicant and property owner): A. garage is 2'-10" from the house; 4' required. B. garage is less than 12" from cottage; 4' required. C. garage exceeds 500 SF in area. D. garage is 2'-8" from side lot line; 5' required. E. spa room is 13'-6" from rear lot line; 15' required. 3. Special Permit to allow a 56 SF bathroom to remain at 100 Costa Rica Avenue which was added without a building permit (APN 028-293-190), zoned R-1, by Cheryl :Feldman (applicant and property owner). 4. Special Permit to allow a take-out food ;service and catering operation at 1109 Burlingame Avenue which is in Sub -Area A which is zoned C-1 (APN 029-211-010), by John Linderman (applicant) with Dorothy B. Hogg, et al (property owner). 5. Amendment of the June 16, 1986 Special PE�!rmit for a satellite dish antenna at 1800 Bayshore Highway to allow it to be relocated on site (APN 024-380-080), zoned C-4, by Spectradyne (applicant) for Marriott Corporation (property owner). 6. Special Permit to allow an auto detailing service at 1362 North Carolan Avenue which is zoned M-1 to offer this service to the general public (APN 026-122-020), by Louis LaFlamme (applicant) with Dirk & Glynne }teed and Donna & Leo Boger (property owners). Parking Variance to allow an existing building at 1320-50 Howard Avenue which has been vacant longer than six months to be used for restaurant, retail and office uses without providing any on -site parking (APN 029-203-070), zoned C-1, by Amitai Schwartz for Roger D. Miles (applicant and property owner) (ITEM CONTINUED). 8. Master Sign Program for the building at 1199 Broadway (APN 026-192-220), zoned C-1, by David Kimmel (applicant and leasing agent) with Garbis Bezdjian (property owner) (item continued until further notice by applicant). VI. CONSENT ITEM 9. Two Minor Modifications from side yard and parking requirements to allow a 1,006 SF bedroom/bath addition to the home at 2018 Ray Drive (APN 025-195-160), zoned R-1, by Architectural Resources Group (applicant) for John and Nicole Picetti (property owners). VII. PLANNER REPORTS - Review of Planning Commission staff projects. Review of Special Permit for car rental at 1250 Bayshore Highway. Review of the regular September 2, 1986 City Council meeting.
