1. Sign Exception to allow a 72 SF wall sign at 1608 Gilbreth
Road which will exceed the number of signs permitted in the
M-1 District (APN 026-310-590), by QRS Corporation for
Southwest Auto Leasing (applicant) with King Cole Homes,
Inc. (property owner).
2. Variance to allow an existing home at 315 E1 Camino Real to
be remodeled to four apartments and use the existing 10'-6"
wide driveway (12, minimum required) along a portion of the
structure (APN 028-283-180), zoned R-3, by Joe Zajc
(applicant and property owner).
3. Two Sign Exceptions to erect a sign at 101 California Drive
which projects more than 4' over the property line into the
right-of-way and which further exceeds the total amount and
number of signs allowed in the Auto Row area (APN 029-232-
170), by West Coast Sign Co. (applicant) for Burlingame
Ford, Inc. (property owner).
4. Sign Exception to add three signs at 150 Anza Boulevard
which exceed the number and amount of signs allowed (APN
026-342-220/230/240), zoned C-4, by United Suites
Development Company.
5. Variance to create a separate parcel for an existing office
building at 1011 Cadillac Way which provides only 10 of the
18 required parking stalls for the building (APN 026-231-
270), zoned R-3, by Michael Chandler (applicant) with
Northpark Properties (property owner).
6. Tentative and Final Parcel Map to create a separate parcel
for the building at 1011 Cadillac Way (Nly portion of Parcel
1, Parcel Map Vol. 13/18), by Redmond Walsh (civil engineer)
for Northpark Properties, Inc. (landowner).
7. Special Permit to extend the operating hours of the Walgreen
Drug store at 1420 Howard Avenue until midnight, seven days
a week (APN 029-201-330), zoned C-1, by Walgreen Drug
Company (applicant) with William J. Lowenberg, et al
(property owners).

8. Special Permit to operate the Safeway store at 1450 Howard
Avenue 24 hours a day (APN 029-201-190/200/270), zoned C-1,
by Safeway Stores (applicant and property owner).
9. Fence Exception to enclose 10 parking spaces at 1710
Gilbreth Road with an 8' fence and gates; 6' maximum allowed
(APN 026-301-330), zoned M-1, by John Sutti & Associates
(applicant) with Helen Dru Jack (property owner).
VI. ITEMS FOR STUDY
10. Special Permit to construct a 440 SF garage with storage
loft at 1427 Carlos Avenue which exceeds three limits for
accessory structures (APN 027-173-030), zoned R-1, by Roy
and Joanne Christensen:
A. 15'-6" plate line proposed; 10' maximum allowed.
B. 15'-6" maximum height proposed; 14' maximum allowed.
C. 440 SF of storage proposed; 175 SF allowed.
11. Variance to subdivide an existing lot at 2740 E1 Prado Road,
leaving the rear 22,511 SF lot area without frontage on a
public street (APN 027-221-240), zoned R-1, by Donald M.
Mosel (applicant and property owner).
12. Amendment of the June 21, 1983 Special Permit for a
preschool program at 801 Howard Avenue to extend the hours
for daycare purposes and to use additional space at
Washington School (APN 029-271-200), zoned R-1, by Nanci
Lawson for A Child's Way (applicant) with Burlingame
Elementary School District (property owner).
13. Master Sign Program for the Crosby Commons retail complex at
1375 Burlingame Avenue (APN 029-202-010), zoned C-1, by
James Kemp (architect and applicant) for Continental Savings
(property owner).
14. Special Permit Amendment to allow an existing 1,536 SF
building at 110 Lorton Avenue formerly used for a church -
sponsored daycare operation to be used for church related
activities (APN 029-231-170), zoned R-4, by Three Cities
Assembly of God (applicant and property owner).
15. Parking Variance to allow an existing building at 1320-50
Howard Avenue which has been vacant longer than six months
to be used for restaurant, retail and office uses without
providing any on -site parking (APN 029-203-070), zoned C-1,
by Amitai Schwartz for Roger D. Miles (applicant and
property owner).
