Review of the Sequoias -Burlingame Life Care Facility for the Elderly at 1781 E1 Camino Real: A. Special Permit for a life care residential facility for the elderly on the Peninsula Hospital grounds at 1781 E1 Camino Real (APN 025-123-100/130), zoned unclassified, by Northern California Presbyterian Homes (applicant) with the Peninsula Hospital District (property owner). B. Special Permit to allow an office for a free, community newspaper in a 939 SF portion of Hoover School at 2220 Summit Drive (APN 027-271-090), zoned R-1, by Peninsula Parent, Inc. (applicant) with Burlingame Elementary School District (property owner). 6. Two Sign Exceptions to allow signs at 1420 Howard Avenue which exceed the amount of signage allowed and two of which face onto private property (APN 029-201-330), zoned C-1, by Wade McClure (applicant) for Walgreen's Drugs (property owner) . 7. Amendment of a condition of the June 18, 1979 Use Permit to provide 7.8% landscaping rather than 10% as required at 1006-1008 Carolan Avenue (APN 026-240-360), zoned M-1, by Michael R. Harvey (applicant and property owner). 8. Special Permit to allow a self -storage operation in an existing 5,002 SF warehouse at 1231 Whitethorn Way (APN 026-131-180), zoned M-1, by Quality Construction (applicant) with Nicholas A. Crisafi (property owner). 9. Variance to allow more compact parking stalls than code allows (24% proposed; 20% permitted) to construct a four story medical office/restaurant/retail building at 1800 E1 Camino Real (APN 025-150-090), zoned C-1, by Architects Unlimited for Mitzi Lee (applicant and property owner). 10. Special Permit to construct a medical office/retail/ restaurant building at 1800 E1 Camino Real which exceeds 35' in height (66.5' proposed) (APN 025-150-090), zoned C-1, by Architects Unlimited for Mitzi Lee (applicant and property owner).
