V. ITEMS FOR ACTION
1. Amendment to Special Permit and Variance (3'-6" separation
between structures and 47.2% lot coverage) for a change in
design of a detached garage at 1204 Palm Drive (APN 029-
016-120), zoned R-1, by Hagop and Esther Plavjian
(applicants and property owners).
2. Variance (for 6' side setback on the street side of a corner
lot) to continue the existing wall line and add a garage to
the first floor of the home and a two bedroom/bath addition
to the second floor at 1221 Sanchez Avenue (APN 026-202-
220), zoned R-2, by Cory Gin (applicant) for Martha
Schneider (property owner).
3. Two Variances (for 52.7% lot coverage and only a 5' rear
yard) to construct a 200 SF sun room at the rear of the five
unit apartment at 950 Chula Vista Avenue (APN 026-201-120),
zoned R-3, by Richard and Shirley Boe (property owners and
applicants).
4. Sign Exception to allow existing signs at 1010 Cadillac Way
to remain which exceed the number and amount permitted by
the Sign Code (APN 026-233-080), zoned M-1, by Nancy
LaPlante for Rector Motor Car Company (property owner and
applicant) (CONTINUED FROM MAY 27, 1986).
5. Special Permit for addition of an electric generator and
heat recovery system within a 1,500 SF area of the Peninsula
Hospital facilities at 1783 El Camino Real (APN 025-123-
100/130), unclassified land, by William Mattson for Mills -
Peninsula Hospital (applicant and property owner).
6. Special Permit to demolish existing buildings at 1044-1060
Broadway, to pave and landscape that land for use as a new
and used car sales lot (APN 026-131-130/140), zoned M-1, by
Mike Harvey (applicant) with Anthony and Madeline Crisafi
and Robert and Ann Woodward (property owners).

7. Fence Exception to allow an 8' security fence around the
rear parking area at 840 Malcolm Road (APN 026-301-340),
zoned M-1, by John Sutti & Associates (applicant) for Joseph
Cotchett and Nick Crisafi (property owners).
8. Special Permit to allow,a rent -a -car operation at 1299
Bayshore Highway in the M-1 zone (APN 026-141-020), by
Dennis R. Kay (applicant) with Premiere Properties, Inc.
(lease holder) and 1290 Old Bayshore Corp. (property
owner).
VI. ITEMS FOR STUDY
9. Special Permit for a life care residential facility for the
elderly on the Peninsula Hospital grounds at 1781 El Camino
Real (APN 025-123-100/130), zoned unclassified, by Northern
California Presbyterian Homes (applicant) with the Peninsula
Hospital District (property owner).
10. Variance (for access to parking requirement) for Hillhaven
Convalescent Hospital at 1609 Trousdale Drive (APN 025-123-
030) to relocate the main entrance to the Peninsula Hospital
site to Trousdale Drive, zoned C-3, by Ted Rowland of
Northern California Presbyterian Homes.
11. Two Variances (for access to required parking and to amount
of parking) for an office building at 1515 Trousdale Drive
(APN 025-123-041/042) to relocate the main entrance to the
Peninsula Hospital site to Trousdale Drive, zoned C-3, by
Ted Rowland, Northern California Presbyterian Homes.
