V . ITEMS FOR ACTION
1. Variance to allow a 130 SF garage addition at 1452 Vancouver
Avenue which will extend the present 0' side yard of the
present garage (APN 026-044-160), zoned R-1, by Oriano and
Patricia Simonetti (applicants and property owners).
2. Special Permit to allow a 693 SF 3-car garage/carport at
1320 Benito Avenue (APN 027-193-150), zoned R-1, by Stuart
Bacon (property owner and applicant).
3. Sign Exception to allow a sign at 1609 Trousdale Drive which
proposes to use 7" high letters whereas the Sign Code allows
only 4" high letters in the C-3 zone and which exceeds 25 SF
in total area (37 SF proposed) (APN 025-123-030), by
Advertising Products, Inc. for Hillhaven Corporation
(property owner and applicant).
4. Special Permit to construct a 321 room hotel at 620 Airport
Boulevard which exceeds 50' in height (60.1' proposed) (APN
026-342-330), zoned C-4, by Windmark Corporation (applicant)
with Hilda Lai (property owner).
5. Tentative and Final Parcel Map to combine lots at 880
Stanton Road (Lots 14-17, Block 4, East Millsdale Industrial
Park No. 2), by Redmond Walsh (civil engineer) for Albrod
International Inc. (property owner).
6. Special Permit to allow a take-out food service at 1160
Burlingame Avenue which is in Sub -Area A of the Burlingame
Avenue Commercial Area which is zoned C-1 (APN 029-153-
120), by Calny, Inc. (applicant) with Lawrence Lam (property
owner).
7. Three Variances for an office addition at the 1361 North
Carolan corporation yard (APN 026-121-060), zoned M-1, by
the City of Burlingame:
A. to build up to the front property line (a 15' front
setback is required).
B. to allow the addition without providing any additional
on -site parking.
C. to reduce required landscaping by approximately 209 SF.

VI. STUDY ITEMS
8. Special Permit to allow a third floor office area for a
proposed auto sales/service facility at 3 California Drive
which will cause building height to exceed 35' (38'
proposed) (APN 029-242-080/090/100/110/220), zoned C-2, by
Joseph Putnam (applicant and property owner).
9. Tentative and Final Parcel Map to combine lots at
3 California Drive (Ptn. Lot 1 and Lot 2, Block 13, Supp. to
Town of Burlingame), by Hans Mulberg (engineer) for Joseph
Putnam (property owner).
