1. Special Permit to construct a garage at 708 Winchester
Drive which exceeds the accessory structure limits for
height and amount of storage area (APN 029-081-010), zoned
R-1, by Ned Benedict (property owner and applicant).
2. Special Permit to conduct a day program at 1131 Vancouver
Avenue for up to 12 developmentally disabled young adults
(APN 027-340-150), zoned R-1, by Ann Parsons of High Hopes,
Inc. (applicant) with Burlingame Elementary School District
(property owner).
3. Amendment of the 7/5/83 Special Permit to allow Amfac Hotel
to continue to use a portion of the future Alamo Rent A Car
headquarters site at 778 Burlway Road for "service and
engineering functions" (APN 026-113-040/130/160/400), zoned
C-4, by Alamo Rent A Car (applicant) with Dkbert Assoc.
(property owner) (APPLICATION CONTINUED).
4. Special Permit to allow an office/computer processing/
storage expansion in an existing structure at 1811 Adrian
Road where total office area will exceed 20% of the gross
floor area (APN 025-169-050), zoned M-1, by GTE Sprint
(applicant) with GTE Sylvania (property owner) (APPLICATION
WITHDRAWN).
VI. OTHER ACTION
5. Approval of the proposed 1985 Planning Commission Meeting
Schedule.
6. Recommendation to the City Council for revisions to the
Home Occupation Ordinance.
VII. ITEMS FOR STUDY
7. Condominium Permit to construct a three story, five unit
condominium at 1114 Paloma Avenue (APN 026-193-160), zoned
R-3, by Cornelius and Elizabeth Brosnan (applicants and
property owners).

8. Tentative Condominium Map for a 5 unit condominium at
1114 Paloma Avenue (Lot 17, Block 3, Easton Addition),
zoned R-3, by Hugh Anton (surveyor) for Cornelius and
Elizabeth Brosnan (property owners).
9. Special Permit to allow a pizza restaurant in a section of
a new commercial building at 1199 Broadway (APN 026-192-
220), zoned C-1, by Richard Monasteri (applicant) with
Garbis Bezdjian (property owner).
10. Special Permit Amendment to allow a pool addition to an
existing racquetball club at 1718 Rollins Road (APN 025-
262-040/050/060/070), zoned M-1, by George Corey for Royal
Raquet Ball Club (applicant and property owner).
11. Two Variances to allow a pool addition to an existing
racquetball club at 1718 Rollins Road (APN 025-262-040/
050/060/070), zoned M-1, by George Corey for Royal Raquet
Ball Club (applicant and property owner):
A. Parking Variance for 17 required parking spaces:
8 existing, required spaces to be eliminated and
9 required for the new pool.
B. Variance to allow the pool structure to be built
within the required 10' side yard area.
12. Rezoning of 41 lots fronting on Rollins Road (301 to 599
Rollins Road) from R-3 (multi -family dwellings) to R-2
(two family dwellings) which complies with the General Plan
designation for this area, by the City of Burlingame.
13. Rezoning of a portion of three parcels with frontage on
California Drive from R-3 (multiple family residential) to
C-2 (service commercial), by the City of :Burlingame.
VIII. PLANNER REPORTS
- Request for code amendment to allow dry cleaning plants in
the C-1 zoning district.
- Review of Council actions: November 5, 1984 regular meeting
and November 7, 1984 study meeting.
