1. Sign Exception to allow a wall sign at 1250 Bayshore
Highway where present signage already exceeds the limits of
the Sign Code (APN 026-142-080), zoned C-4, by Heath &
Company (applicant) for Ramada Hotel Operating Co.
(property owner).
VI. ITEMS FOR STUDY
2. Sign Exception to allow a ground sign at .1881 Rollins Road
which causes total signage to exceed permitted limits (APN
025-162-010), zoned M-1, by Julie DeKelaita (applicant)
with S. J. Amoroso Properties (property owner).
3. Variance to allow the use of compact parking stalls on a
residential site to recoup four spaces lost by the
relocation of an apartment maintenance facility at 1080
Carolan Avenue (APN 026-231-280), zoned R-4, by CNR
Associates (applicant) for Northpark Properties (property
owner).
4. Amendment of the 3/20/72 Special Permit to change the
operating hours for the car wash at 1095 Carolan Avenue
(unclassified land), by William Storum (applicant) with
Southern Pacific 'Transportation Company (property owner).
5. Amendment of the 7/5/83 Special Permit to allow Amfac Hotel
to continue to use a portion of the future Alamo Rent A Car
headquarters site at 778 Burlway Road for "service and
engineering functions" (APN 026-113-040/130/160/400), zoned
C-4, by Alamo Rent A Car (applicant) with Dkbert Assoc.
(property owner).
6. Condominium Permit to allow construction of a 12 unit
structure at 623 Ansel Avenue (APN 029-100-140/150), zoned
R-3, by Panko/Sinclair Architects (applicant) for Robert
Berryman (property owner).
7. Tentative Subdivision Map for a 12 unit condominium at
623 Ansel Avenue (Ptn. Lot 14, Block 7, Burlingame Land Co.
No. 2) by Wm. Jay Hammond (surveyor) for Robert Berryman
(property owner).

8. Three Special Permits to allow construction of a 559 room
hotel at 350 Airport Boulevard (APN 026-350-010/020/110),
zoned C-4, by Carruf Corporation (applicant and property
owner):
A. Special Permit to exceed 35' in height (97'-8" proposed)
B. Special Permit to exceed 1.0 Floor Area Ratio ( 1.36
proposed)
C. Special Permit to exceed the Design Guidelines for
setbacks, apparent width and view corridors.
