Burlingame Bayfront: public hearing and review of
2. Condominium Permit for a 15,000 SF office building at 1424 Chapin Avenue
(APN 029-121-260), zoned C-1, by Bradford Liebman of 1424 Chapin Properties,
Ltd. with Mogens Mogensen (property owner) (ND-272P posted January 13, 1981).
3. Tentative Subdivision Map for 8 office condominiums at 1424 Chapin Avenue,
zoned C-1, by James F. Carroll & Associates for Mogens Mogensen and BEM
Development Company.
4. Fence Exception to construct a 12' high chain link fence along a 46' long
section of the northeasterly side property line at 1427-1433 Burlingame
Avenue (APN 029-201-070), zoned C-1, by Dr. D. B. Busch (applicant and
property owner) (continued from January 26, 1981).
5. Fence Exception to construct a 5' high chain link fence within the front
setback at 556 E1 Camino Real (APN 029-111-260), zoned R-3, by Dan Bonin
(applicant and property owner).
6. Revocation of Special Permit approved May 14, 1979 to allow Munkdale Bros., Inc.
to use 3.4 acres under the PG&E lines behind 1576-1700 Rollins Road to store
cars, recreation vehicles and boats (amended March 10, 1980 to store and
grow plant materials) (continued from January 12, 1981).
7. Sign Exception to install an illuminated sign with 52 SF per face within an
existing frame on the 20' high Hyatt Cinema sign at 1302 Bayshore Highway
(APN 026-113-480), zoned C-4, by Bruce R. Quie of the Frog Pond Hot Tub and
Sauna Club (applicant) with Ventures XIV (property owner).
8. Appeal under Municipal Code Sec. 18.08.050 from the decision of the Chief
Building Inspector that an existing electric meter box must be moved to a new
location on the single family home at 511 Burlingame Avenue (APN 029-254-030),
zoned R-1, by Robert J. Ryan (property owner) with Roderic Tosetti of Tosetti
Electric Company.
VI. APPLICATIONS FOR STUDY
9. Special Permit to install 5 solar panels (with a maximum height of 19'-6")
on the roof of the detached garage at 1133 Cabrillo Avenue (APN 026-181-040),
zoned R-1, by Dr. and Mrs. Rosenthal (property owners) with Fafco Solar Systems.

10. The Reading Game, 1200 Howard Avenue (APN 029-204-120): determination
whether the "clinical reading service" is similar to those uses permitted
in the C-1 District (Code Sec. 25.36.020) and unlikely to be obnoxious or
detrimental to its immediate neighborhood.
11. Special Permit to operate a second car rental agency at 1755 Bayshore Highway
(APN 024-403-430/440), zoned M-1, by John Bussanick, District Manager of
Alamo Rent-A-Car with Linda A. King of Trans Rent-A-Car.

13. Appeal of map condition that Sanchez Avenue be widened at its intersection

Construction Company for the Carmel Garden condominium project, 977 E1
Camino Real.
14. Review of August 11, 1980 special permit to allow Gabriel A. Maalouf of
Fairway Rent-A-Car System to operate a car rental agency at 1484 Bayshore
Highway.
