1. Special Permit to allow the Poplar Center to offer an adult -activity
program for up to 65 handicapped persons at Pershing School, 1560 Newlands
Avenue (APN 028-292-310), zoned R-1, by Elsie Vickery, executive director
for the Poplar Center, Inc. (applicant) with the Burlingame School District
(property owner) (ND-250P posted July 15, 1980).
2. Appeal from the Building Code requirement that the average ceiling height
of a new second floor bathroom be increased 6"; by Lewis S. Case, owner of
1824 Barroilhet Avenue (APN 028-274-130), zoned R-1.
3. Special Permit to allow retail clearance sales on weekends in an existing
warehouse at 1535 Rollins Road (APN 025-280-120), zoned M-1, by Gene Friend,
Howard Properties, Inc. (applicant and property owner) with The Emporium-
Capwell Company (proposed lessee) (ND-249P posted July 15, 1980).
4. Variances from Code Sec. 25.50.080 and 25.70.030(1) to convert 12 parking
spaces to two medical office suites with 2,550 SF within the existing
Peninsula Professional Center, 1828 E1 Camino Real (APN 025-150-220), zoned
C-1, by Robert Podesta with Rolston Johnson, et al (ND-251P posted July 15,
1980).
5. Tentative and Final Parcel Map to adjust the present property line between
11 and 15 Guittard Road (APN 025-166-160/170); portion of Lot 3, Block 1,
Millsdale Industrial Park No. 1), zoned M-1, by Louis Arata for Guittard
Chocolate Company.
