1. Variance from Code Sec. 25.70.030 to add a fourth bedroom to the house at
1921 Devereux Drive (APN 025-213-030), zoned R-1, by Mr. and Mrs. Tony Sittner.
2. Swimming lessons as a home occupation at 2344 Poppy Drive (APN 027-161-040),
zoned R-1, by Helen E. Lazzari.
3. Special Permit to use 3.4 acres of land under the PG&E lines behind 1576-1700
Rollins Road for the storage of cars, recreational vehicles and boats; access
to the site (APN 025-261-110) via 1614.Rollins Road; property zoned M-1, by
Munkdale Brothers Inc. (applicant) with Waikiki Development Co. Inc. (property
owner) (ND-204P posted April 11, 1979) (continued from April 23, 1979).
4. Variance from Code Sec. 25.42.070 (which requires 10% 'landscaping) to develop
the above 3.4 acres with paving and fencing but no landscaping, by Munkdale
Brothers Inc. (applicant) with Waikiki Development Co. Inc. (property owner)
(continued from April 23, 1979).
5. Amended application for Homestead Savings sign and logo (with 38 SF total signage)
at 1777 Murchison Drive (APN 025-121-230), zoned C-3, by Stephen Coulthard of
Amcoe Sign Company for Homestead Savings.

6. Extension of April 22, 1974 Special Permit to allow open storage of vehicles
in the M-1 District at 960 David Road (APN 025-271-090); May 2, 1979 letter
from Paul W. Jackson.
7. Review of April 24, 1978 Special Permit to operate Paige Rent-A-Car at 1300
Bayshore Highway (APN 026-113-480), zoned C-4, by Carl Martin of Paige Rent-
A-Car with Ventures XIV (property owner).
8. Amendment of July 24, 1978 Special Permit for the Royal Racquet Club, Inc.,
1718 Rollins Road: May 8, 1979 letter from Mr. Joseph Lanam, General Manager,
requesting the club be allowed to sell food, beer and wine.
9. Recommended Title 25 Code Amendments:
a. Code Section 25.70.020 Provision for compact car stalls in commercial
and light industrial areas
b. Code Section 25.41.080 Deletion of present 10% compact

VII. APPLICATIONS FOR STUDY
10. Variance from the 1968 City condition that an 18' height limit be established
for Mills Canyon Court properties, to allow the construction of one single
family home on Lot 1 (APN 025-370-010), zoned R-1, by Showki K. Jadallah.
11. Special Permit to construct a 52' high residential building at 1500 Willow
Avenue (APN 028-134-040/050), zoned R-3, by Jean Gorostiague and Luciano
Bertocchini (applicants) with Frank Donahue and John Giannetto (applicants
and owners of APN 028-134-040) and Dennis and Jean Garro (owners of APN 028-
134-050).
12. Variance from Code Sec. 25.62.080(5) to allow the lower parking garage for the
above project at 1500 Willow Avenue to project 12' into the 20' E1 Camino Real
setback.
13. Audio/visual recording studio with live public entertainment several evenings
each week, 1157 California Drive: determination whether the recording studio
and its associated public performances are similar to those uses permitted in
either the C-1 or C-2 Districts (Code Sections 25.36.020 and 25.38.020) and
unlikely to be obnoxious or detrimental to the neighborhood in which Encore
Productions would be located.
14. Variance from Code Sec. 25.50.040 to reestablish a use in the nonconforming
building which has been vacant for more than 6 months (an audio/visual recording
studio and public entertainments are proposed), 1157 California Drive (APN 026-
191-030/040), zoned C-2, by Terry Merritt of Encore Productions (applicant)
with Christine T. Masserdotti/Dillon (property owner) (application amended
since November 27, 1978.hearing).
15. Special Permit to operate an automobile showroom with service and parts facility
in the M-1 District at 1016 Carolan Avenue (portion of APN 026-240-280), by
David James Arata of Arata Honda.
16. Special Permit to operate an automobile sales and service facility in the M-1
District at 1008 Carolan Avenue (APN 026-240-270 and a portion of APN 026-240-
280), by Mike Harvey of Mike Harvey Oldsmobile.
17. Tentative and Final Parcel Map to resubdivide 1008 Carolan Avenue and 1016 Carolan
Avenue into lots with equal frontage, by Tri-State Engineering for Arata Honda
and Mike Harvey Oldsmobile.
18. Condominium Permit for Camino Gables, a 21 unit condominium at 735 E1 Camino
