HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 079-1984RESOLUTION NO. 79-84 RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame, California, as follows: WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the various highway projects recommended for use of Federal Aid Urban Funds, as well as those freeway projects being considered by CALTRANS; and WHEREAS, there are projects recommended and supported by this City Council as being of particular necessity for the City of Burlingame; NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED that this City Council recommends and supports the projects;;the reconstruction of the intersection of Broadway and California Drive, the revision of the configuration on the east side Peninsula Interchange with State Highway 101 and widening of Airport Boulevard from Lang Road to Coyote Point Drive. This Council further supports the City of San Mateo, County of San Mateo, and District 4 CALTRANS in nominating the widening of State Highway 101 from six (6) to eight (8) lanes from Whipple Avenue to Santa Clara County line; adding auxillary lanes northbound Third Avenue to Broadway and southbound Millbrae Avenue to Third Avenue on State Highway 101, reconstruct eastside of Peninsula Avenue Interchange with State Highway 101 and construct a bypass connection to the Dumbarton Bridge between Marsh Road and;Woodside Road for use of non -inter- state freeway funds and construct new southbound ramp to I-280 fro Junipero Serra to existing San Jose bound ramp for interstate freeway funds.
