HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 135-2024 RESOLUTION NO. 135-2024 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $86,639 FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE TOBACCO GRANT PROGRAM AND AMENDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 ADOPTED BUDGET TO INCREASE IT BY$86,639 WHEREAS, the Police Department was awarded funds in the amount of $86,639 from the California Department of Justice’s Tobacco Grant; and WHEREAS, the Police Department plans to use these funds toward activities designed to prevent and deter tobacco use by youth; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined there is a need to accept and appropriate the $86,639 from the California Department of Justice’s Tobacco Grant toward these activities. NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: The City Manager is authorized to accept the Grant Funds in the amount of $86,639; and The City Manager is authorized to adjust the fiscal year 2024-25 revenue and expenditure budgets for the Police Department’s State Grant Fund to reflect the grant funding amount. ______________________________ Donna Colson, Mayor I, Meaghan Hassel-Shearer, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of November, 2024, by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: BROWNRIGG, COLSON, LEE, PAPPAJOHN, STEVENSON NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE ______________________________ Meaghan Hassel-Shearer, City Clerk Docusign Envelope ID: A529BC5E-C911-4320-8F50-7EDF0BDC5D30
