AWARDING CONTRACT
TREE PRUNING PROJECT #522
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation for bids for
the TREE PRUNING PROJECT #522, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #115 said contract was awarded to ECONO-TREE,
but said contractor has been unable to meet insurance requirements, and
WHEREAS, DAVEY TREE COMPANY submitted the second lowest bid for the
job in the amount of $27 per hour, to a maximum of $42,000
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, and it is hereby ORDERED, that the
award to ECONO-TREE is hereby rescinded and the bid of DAVEY TREE COMPANY
be, and the same hereby is accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between the
DAVEY TREE COMPANY and the City of Burlingame for the performance of said
work, and that the City Manager be, and he hereby is authorized for and
on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract and to
approve the faithful performance bond and the labor and materials bond
required to be furnished by the contract'

I, JUDITH A. MALFATTI, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the 18th day of November 1985,
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP, BARTON, LEMBI, MANGINI, PAGLIARO
NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: NONE
