RESOLUTION NO. 114-85
AWARDING CONTRACT
ANZA BOULEVARD FREEWAY CONNECTION - EARTHWORK
AND WATERLINE RELOCATION PROJECT #005-1
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation for
bids for the above described project, and
WHEREAS, on September 26, 1985, all bids received were
opened before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works;
and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest bid of BAY CITIES
PAVING AND GRADING contained errors based upon mutual misunder-
standing of specifications and by mutual agreement should be
rejected, and
WHEREAS, GRADEWAY CONSTRUCTION submitted the second lowest
bid for the job in the amount of $348,750;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, and it is hereby ORDERED,
that the bid of GRADEWAY CONSTRUCITON in the amount of $348,750
be, and the same is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into
between the successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the
City of Burlingame for the performance of said work, and that the
City Manager be, and lie hereby is authorized for and on behalf
of the City of Burlingame to execute said contract and to approve
the faithful performance bond and the labor and materials bond
required to be furnished by the contractor.
