STAFF REPORT TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council SUBMITTED BY DATE: March 13, 1985 FROM: City Attorney APPROVBY SUBJECT! PAYMENT SCHEDULE ON EIR FOR 1070 BROADWAY AGENDA 7 K ITEM. MTG' 3/18/85 CAATE / / (f— RECOMMENDATION: Approval of revised payment schedule. BACKGROUND: At your last meeting you approved a contract for an Environmental Impact Report on a proposed auto retail/office conversion located at 1070 Broadway. Baseline Environmental Consulting has asked that we revise the payment schedule for this contract. As set forth in the agreement they are to be paid the entire lump sum of $9965.00 upon certification of the EIR. This procedure does not allow them any payment for the printing and other costs that take place during the course of preparation of the report. They have therefore asked for a revised payment schedule. Staff concurs with their request and we therefore ask that you approve a payment schedule of thirty percent (30%) upon acceptance of the administrative draft, thirty percent (30%) upon acceptance of the draft Environmental Impact Report, thirty percent (30%) upon acceptance of the Final Environmental Impact Report and a final ten percent(10o) upon certification.of the Environmental Impact Report.
