IMPROPER SEWER CONNECTIONS A NUISANCE IN
WITH MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 15:12
RESOLVED y the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME:
WHEREAS, all sewer laterals or sewer cleanouts which contain
leaks or breaks, uncapped sewer cleanouts, sump pumps, down spouts
or yard drains w ich discharge into the sewer system, and all
other sources of accidental, negligent or intended introduction
of storm run-off or similar waters into the sanitary system
constitute a pub is nuisance;
NOW, THER FORE, IT IS HEREBY DECLARED THAT said improper
sewer connection3 do now constitute and continue to constitute a
public nuisance; and it is ordered that said public nuisance be
abated in the manner provided by law, and that such nuisance exists
upon streets, alleys and private property and places within the
City of Burlingame.
The properties upon which said nuisance exists are all
of the streets, alleys, and private property within said City as
shown, described and delineated on the several maps of the City
which are record d in the office of the County Recorder of the
County of San Ma eo, reference in each instance for the description
of any particula streets or property being hereby made to the
several maps aforesaid, and in the event of there being several
subdivision maps upon which the same lots are shown, reference
is hereby made to the latest subdividion map.
And it is ordered that Monday, the 5th day of
January , 1987, at the hour of seven -thirty p.m. of
said day, at the City Council Chambers of the City of Burlingame,
located in the C ty Hall of said City be, and the same is hereby
fixed as the tim and place when objections to the proposed
abatement of sai connections shall be heard and given due consider
ation.
