RESOLUTA N SUPPORTING, HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION
PROJECTS
P,ESOLVEDI, by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame,
California, as follows:
WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed the various highway
projects recommended for use of Federal Aid Urban Funds, as well
as those freeway projects being considered by CALTRANS; and
WHEREAS, there are projects recommended and supported by
this City Council s being of particular necessity for the City of
Burlingame:
NOW, THEREFORE, it is RESOLVED that this City Council
recommends and sup orts the projects: the revision of the configura-
tion on the east s -de Peninsula Interchange with State Highway 101
and widening of Ai port Boulevard from Lang Road to Coyote Point
Drive. This Counc.1 further supports the City of San Mateo, County
of San Mateo and Dhstrict 4 CALTRANS in nominating for freeway funds
the widening of St to Highway 92 from State Highway 1 to I-280, the
widening of State dighway 101 from six (6) to eight (8) lanes from
Whipple Avenue to 3anta Clara County line, adding auxillary lanes
northbound Third A enue to Broadway and southbound Millbrae Avenue
to Third Avenue on State Highway 101, the reconstruction of the
eastside of Penins la Avenue Interchange with State Highway 101, the
construction of a iew southbound ramp to I-280 from Junipero Serra
to existing San Jo,;e bound ramp, and the access improvement of
I -280/I-380 in San Bruno, and to improve Highway One within the
city limits of Half Moon Bay. `
