RESOL TION ESTABLISHING 1986 1987 APP
LIMIT FOR

RE�OLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF
BURLINGAME that;
WHEREAS, in November 1979, the voters of the State
of California approved proposition 4, the Gann
Appropriation Limit Initiative, which states that beginning
July 1, 1986, all state and local government budgets are
limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus
adjustments for cost of living and population changes, and
specific exceptions for service charges, federal and state
grants, reserve funds, etc.; and
WHEREAS, the State Legislature adopted Chapter

THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED as follows:
For 1986-87 the City's appropriation limit is
$22,256,652.
The Adopted Budget for 1986-87 includes
$21,884,822 in appropriations which are
subject to limit, and estimates taxes of
$15,584,000.
For 1986-87 the City of Burlingame is within
the limits of Article XIII B of the California
Constitution.
