RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BURLINGAME APPROVING AND ORDERING REORGANIZATION
TO DETACH FROM THE CITY OF HILLSBOROUGH AND ANNEX
TO THE CITY OF BURLINGAME THE LANDS OF NEWSOM
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame
as follows:
WHEREAS, there has heretofore been filed with the Local
Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo a petition
for a municipal reorganization to detach from the City of Hills-
borough and annex to the City of Burlingame that certain territory
more fully described hereinafter and known as the Lands of Newsom.
WHEREAS, said proposal was approved by the Local Agency
Formation Commission, and this Council was authorized to proceed
without notice, hearing or election.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED, DETERMINED and
FOUND as follows:
1. Proceedings were commenced by petition of the properti
owners under the Cortese -Knox Local Reorganization Act of 1985,
Section 56000, et sec.., of the Government Code.
2. The affected cities are Burlingame and Hillsborough.
3. The change of organization proposed is the detachment
of the subject area from the City of Hillsborough and its annex-
ation to the City of Burlingame.
4. The reason for the reorganization as described in
the proposal is to allow the subdivision of the subject property
into two single family residential sites.
5. The only terms or conditions of the proposed reorgan-
ization contained in LAFCO's Resolution No. 760 was the submission
of a revised map and legal description, which condition has been
met.
6. The description of the boundaries of the area involvec
in such change of organization is more particularly set forth
in EXHIBIT A attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.
7. Pursuant to the action of LAFCO, this proceeding was
determined without notice, hearing or election.
8. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 57075 of the
Government Code, this Council does hereby order said reorganizatior
9. The City Clerk shall transmit a certified copy
of this resolution to the Executive Officer of the San Mateo Count}
Local Agency Formation Commission, to the County Assessor, and to
the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo.

To The City Of Burlingame
All that certain real property situate in the Town of Hillsborough,
County of San Mateo, State of California, said real property being the
lands described in the deed conveyed by Dorothy A. Gielow to David
Newsom and Olinda Newsom, which deed was recorded on July 8, 1985 in
Document No. 85067651, Official Records of San Mateo County, said real
property as surveyed, being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the Northwesterly line of Forest View Avenue,
formerly Oak Grove Avenue, where it is intersected by the Northeasterly
line of Newhalls Subdivision, Burlingame Park, Map of which was filed
May 11, 1914 in Book 9 of Maps at Page 16, San Mateo County Records,
said POINT OF BEGINNING also being the southerly most corner of Lot 12,
as shown on that certain map entitled "Map of Subdivision No. 5,
Burlingame Park, map of which was filed May 13, 1907 in Book 5 of Maps
at Page 4, San Mateo County Records, said POINT OF BEGINNING being on
the common city limit line of the Town of Hillsborough and the City of
Burlingame; thence North 35050'00" West (called North 35055'00" West by
said Map of Newhalls Subdivision) 282.00 feet to the Northwesterly line
of said Newhalls Subdivision (said point being a 3\4 inch iron pipe and
cap, R.C. HUTTON & ASSOCIATES, L.S. 5454); thence leaving said common
city limit line along said Northwesterly line of Newhalls Subdivision
South 55002'12" West (called South 55015' West in the Deed hereinafter
referred to) 60.32 feet to the Northeasterly line of that certain 40
foot Right of Way (known as Newhall Drive) granted by Caroline T.
Newhall to the Town of Hillsborough a municipal corporation, by Deed
dated June 27, 1930 and recorded July 15, 1930 in Book 480 of Official
Records of San Mateo County at Page 472; thence along said
Northeasterly line southeasterly along a curve to the right, having a
radius of 215 feet, an arc distance of 75.39 feet, the chord of which
bears South 230 08'15" East a distance of 75.01 feet; thence
Southeasterly along a curve to the left having a radius of 224.61 feet,
an arc distance of 199.01 feet, the chord of which bears South 38028'30"
East 192.57 feet; thence South 63051130" East 19.14 feet to the
Northerly boundary of Forest View Avenue; thence along the
Northwesterly line of Forest View Avenue, North 54038100" East (called
North 54033'East on said Map of Newhalls Subdivision) 58.93 feet to the
POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 22,641 square feet of land, more or
less.

All that certain real property situate in the Town of Hillsborough,
County of San Mateo, State of California, said real property being a
strip of land 15 feet more or less in width lying between Sanchez Avenue
in Burlingame and that certain Newhall's Subdivision, which said
subdivision is designated on the Map entitled, "NEWHALL'S SUBDIVISION,
BURLINGAME PARK BEING A PORTION OF LOTS 5 TO 15 INCLUSIVE", which Map
was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, May
11, 1914, in Volume 9 of Maps at page 16, and lying Northeasterly of the
northeasterly line of that certain 40 foot right of way granted to the
Town of Hillsborough, a Municipal Corporation, by Deed recorded July 15,
1930 in Book 480, Page 472 of Official Records, said real property as
surveyed being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the the most Northerly corner of said Newhall's Subdivision
(said point being a 3/4 inch iron pipe and cap, R.C. HUTTON &
ASSOCIATES, L.S. 5454), said POINT OF BEGINNING being on the
southwesterly line of Lot 14 and South 35050' East 1.28 feet distant
from the most westerly corner of said Lot 14, as said Lot is designated
on the Map entitled, "MAP OF SUBDIVISION NO. 5 BURLINGAME PARK
CALIFORNIA", which Map was filed May 13, 1907 in Book 5, of Maps at page
4, Records of San Mateo County, said POINT OF BEGINNING being on the
common city limit line of the Town of Hillsborough and the City of
Burlingame ; thence from said POINT OF BEGINNING North 35050'West 16.28
feet to the southeasterly right of way line of Sanchez Avenue (50 feet
wide) as said right of way line is shown on that certain Map entitled
"MAP OF EASTON ADDITION TO BURLINGAME NO. 2 SAN MATEO CO. CAL.", which
Map was filed December 8, 1905 in Volume A, of Maps at page 72 and a
copy entered in Book 3 of Maps at page 93, Records of San Mateo County;
thence Southwesterly along said southeasterly right of way line of
Sanchez Avenue South 54054'08" West 60.18 feet to a point of cusp with a
non -tangent curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 215 feet
and to which point a radial line bears South 520 30'52" West; thence
leaving said common city limit line southeasterly 16.14 feet along said
curve through a central angle of 4018'08" to the place of beginning of
the said 40 foot right of way granted to the Town of Hillsborough;
thence along the northwesterly line of said Newhall's Subdivision North
550 02'12" East 60.32 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 975
