RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME
DESIGNATING THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS
AS THE PUBLIC AGENCY OF THE SAN MATEO COUNTY
INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT TASK FORCE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of BURLINGAME
State of California, that
WHEREAS, Public Resources Code sections 40000 et seq.,
requires that each County convene a Task Force to assist in
coordinating the development of city source reduction .and
recycling elements prepared pursuant to Article 1 (commencing
with Section 41000) of Chapter 2 and to prepare the countwide
siting element required pursuant to Chapter 4 (commencing with
Section 41700); and
WHEREAS, the membership of the task force shall be
determined by the Board of Supervisors and a majority of the
cities within the County which contain a majority of the
population in the County; and
WHEREAS, the City/County Association of Governments is being
established as a joint powers entity for the purpose of
developing state mandated plans such as the Integrated Waste
Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of this City Council to
designate the City/County Association of Governments as the
local task force for purposes of the Integrated Waste Management
Plan;
NOW THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the City/County
Association of Governments is hereby designated as the local task
force for development of the County's Integrated Waste Management
Plan.
This resolution shall be effective upon the formation and
establishment of the City/County Association of Governments.

the City of Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing
resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City
Council held on the 19th day of November 1990,
and was adopted thereafter by the following vote:

NOES; COUNCILMEMBERS: BARTON
