RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO DISSOLUTION OF
SAN MATEO COUNTY CITIES INSURANCE JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, that
WHEREAS, this City and others did in 1979 form the
San Mateo County Cities Insurance Joint Powers Authority for
the purpose of jointly pooling liability losses and jointly
purchasing liability insurance; and
WHEREAS, after many years of successful operation
it was deemed desirable that the various cities seek other
means of performing those functions, and that the Joint
Powers Authority therefore be dissolved; and
WHEREAS, all outstanding litigation involving the
authority has been completed, all monies owing to it have
been paid, and it may now be dissolved;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Burlingame does hereby consent to the dissolution of the San
Mateo County Cities Insurance Joint Powers Authority.

Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 20th day of August 1990, and was adopted
thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: BARTON, HARRISON, O'MAHONY, PAGLIARO
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS: NONE
