AWARDING CONTRACT
HILLSIDE DRIVE AND NEWTON DRIVE AND NEWTON DRIVE WATER IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 607
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized an invitation for bids
for the HILLSIDE DRIVE AND NEWTON DRIVE WATER IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on JANUARY 26, 1988 , all bids received were opened
before the City Clerk and the Director of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, JAMES CHALMERS, CONTRACTOR submitted
the lowest bid for the job in the amount of $ 320,830.00 ;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it RESOLVED, and it is hereby ORDERED, that the
bid of JAMES CHALMERS, CONTRACTOR for said project
in the amount of $320,830.00 be, and the same hereby is accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a contract be entered into between the
successful bidder hereinabove referred to and the City of Burlingame for
the performance of said work, and that the City Manager be, and he hereby
is authorized for and on behalf of the City of Burlingame to execute said
contract and to approve the faithful performance bond and the labor and
materials bond required to be furnished by the contr�� l�
I, Judy Malfatti, City Clerk of the City �rli ame, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Resolution was introduced at a regular meeting
of the City Council held on the 1st day of February ,198B , and
was adopted thereafter by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP, BARTON, LEMBI, MANGINI, PAGLIARO
NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE
