RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIAL PERMIT
RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame that:
WHEREAS, application has been made for a special permit
for church services and other religious activities
at 1157 California Drive (APN 026-191-300 1
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on
said application on February 27 1989 , at which time
said application was approved;
WHEREAS, this matter was called up by Council and a
hearing thereon held on March 20 , 1989 , at which
time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other
written materials and testimony presented at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this
Council that said special permit is approved, subject to the
conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
It is further directed that a certified copy of this
resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San
Mateo.

do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a
regular meeting of the City Council held on the 20th day of
March 1989 and adopted thereafter by the following
vote:

Conditions of approval, special
permit, church use, 1157 California
Drive (effective March 21, 1989)
Property owner:
Dillon Management Co.

Atherton, CA 94025
1. that the conditions of the Chief Building Inspector's
January 26, 1989 memo and the Deputy Fire Marshalls February
7, 1989 memo shall be met;
2. that church services shall be spaced not less than 60
minutes apart;
3. that the church use shall be limited to two services each on
Saturday and Sunday at 10:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. for a
maximum of 54 people (and 54 seats) per service and the site
shall be used Monday -Friday from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. for
related church activities for a maximum of 10 people per
meeting;
4. that the on-site parking shall be marked for the exclusive
use of the church and other businesses on site and shall
never be leased or sold separately from the building;
5. that the other two leased areas on the site shall continue
in retail use and not be intensified to other more parking
intensive uses;
6. that separate application shall be made for signage for the
church use; and
7. that the rail protecting the exterior stair by the parking
lot shall be replaced as part of the building improvements.
