HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso - CC - 002-1989RESOLUTION NO 2-89 RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIAL PERMIT AMENDMENT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL of the City of Burlingame that: WHEREAS, application has been made for a special permit amendment for expansion of an oriental rug and anti ue shop at 1199 Broadwav (APN 026-192-220 and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on said application on November 28 1988, at which time said application was denied; WHEREAS, this matter was_ appealed to Council and a hearing thereon held on Januar 4 , 1989, at which time it reviewed and considered the staff report and all other written materials and testimony presented at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby RESOLVED and DETERMINED by this Council that said special permit is approved, subject to the conditions set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. It is further directed that a certified copy of this resolution be recorded in the official records of the County of San Mateo. h►�IY�� I, JUDITH A. MALFATTI, City Clerk of the City of Burlingame do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 4th day of January 1989, and adopted thereafter by the following vote: AYES: COUNCILMEN: AMSTRUP, BARTON, LEMBI, MANGINI, PAGLIARO NOES: COUNCILMEN: NONE ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: NONE L EXHIBIT "A" Conditions of approval, special permit amendment, 1199 Broadway (effective January 5, 1989) Property owner: Garbis Bezdjian 40 Berryessa Way Hillsborough, CA 94010 1. that no building permit shall be issued to implement this amendment to merge Suites 5 and 6 into a single 2,462 SF retail space until the signage for Suites 5 and 6 conforms to the master signage program approved June 13, 1988; 2. that no construction work except for permits to install signs as allowed under the master signage program shall commence until a building permit for the remodeling as allowed under the use permit has been issued; 3. that the 2,462 SF business site would employ no more than six people (three full time and three part time) and operate from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday through Saturday; 4. that this use permit amendment will expire in six months time (July, 1989) if a building permit has not been issued by that time; and 5. that this site shall be reviewed for compliance with the conditions of the original permit and the amendment in one year (February, 1990) and upon complaint thereafter.
