RESOLUTION PROPOSING THAT THE CITY TREASURER BE APPOINTIVE,
THAT THE POSITION BE COMBINED WITH THE FINANCE DIRECTOR AND
CALLING FOR SUBMITTAL OF THE PROPOSITION TO THE VOTERS ON
NOVEMBER 5, 1991
The CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF BURLINGAME does hereby
ORDAIN as follows:
Section 1. There shall be submitted to the qualified
voters of the City at the regular municipal election of November 5,
1991, the following question:
"Shall the office of the city treasurer be appointive and
be combined with the office of fi::ance director, to be known as the
finance director/treasurer?"
Section 2. If the proposition receives approval by a
majority of the votes cast on the proposition, it shall be adopted.
Section 3. The Board of Supervisors of the County of
San Mateo is hereby requested to consolidate the election on said
question with the regular municipal election to be held on
Tuesday, November 5, 1991. The election shall be held in all
respects as though only one election.
Section 4. The provisions of Election Code Section
5014.5 providing for rebuttal arguments are hereby adopted.
Section 5. The Ci -y Clerk shall fix and determine a
reasonable date prior to the election after which no arguments for
against the question may be submitted to the City Clerk and shall
cause such arguments to be printed and enclosed with the sample
ballot pursuant to Election Code Sections 5010 to 5014.
Section 6. The City Maiāger is authorized to execute
an agreement with the County of San Mateo for any services
necessary for such election.

Burlingame, do hereby certify that the ,regoing resolution was
introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council and was adopted
thereafter by the following vote on July 15, 1991:
