AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
CITY ATTORNEY DEPARTMENT RECORDS
RESOLVED, by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF
BURLINGAME, that:
WHEREAS, Section 34090 of the Government Code of
the State of California provides that with the approval of
the legislative body by resolution, the head of a City
department may, with certain exceptions, destroy any City
record, document, instrument, book or paper not less than
two (2) years old, without making a copy thereof, and after
the same is no longer required; and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has recommended that a
schedule be adopted providing for the retention of and
destruction of certain City Attorney department records;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Burlingame, California, does hereby RESOLVE AND DETERMINE as
follows:
1. In accordance with Section 34090 of the California
Government Code, the City Council does hereby approve a
Records retention schedule for the City Attorney's office
and authorizes the destruction of the records listed in
Exhibit "A" after the elapse of the state retention period.
2. None of said records, documents and papers
authorized for destruction affect the title to real property
or liens thereon, or are original court records, records
required to be kept by statute, minutes, ordinances or
resolutions of the City Council qq of any City board or
commission. /�

Burlingame, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 17th day of January 1990, and was adopted
thereafter by,the following vote:
