CALIF.84010 RESOLUTION NO. 42-92 DESIGNATING THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS AS THE OVERALL PROGRAM MANAGER FOR THE ALLOCATION AND EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS GENERATED PURSUANT TO ASSEMBLY BILL 434 AND ADOPTING A POLICY FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THESE FUNDS WHEREAS, on October 10, 1991, the State of California enacted Assembly Bill 434 authorizing the Bay Area Air Quality District to impose a fee on motor vehicles to be used for specified transportation control projects and programs to implement the California Clean Air Act of 1988; and WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 434 provides that not less than forty percent of the fee revenues generated in each county within the Bay Area Quality Management District shall be allocated for programs in that county to an entity designated as the overall program manager by the county board of supervisors and city councils for a majority of the cities representing a majority of the population in the incorporated area of the county; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to designate the City/County Association of Governments ("C/CAG11), of San Mateo County as the sole program manager in San Mateo County for the allocation and expenditure of funds generated pursuant to Assembly Bill 434, according to the terms and conditions of the attached policy entitled, "City/County Association of Governments: Policy on Administration of AB 434.11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 JEROME F. COLEMAN CRY ATTORNEY CITY OF BURLINGAME 301 PRIMROSE ROAD BURLINGAME, CALIF. 94010 CITY OF BURLINGAME, of the County of San Mateo that the City/County Association of Governments is designated as the sole program manager in San Mateo County for the allocation and expenditure of funds generated pursuant to Assembly Bill 434; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the allocation and expenditure of funds generated pursuant to Assembly Bill 434 shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the attached policy entitled, "City/County/Association of Governments: Policy on Administrationn of AB 434.
