A RESOLUTION OF INTENT WITH REGARD TO CITY OF BURLINGAME FUNDS AND
THE SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM/ CONGESTION MITIGATION AND AIR
QUALITY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE FOLLOWING PROJECT:
BEACH ROAD BIKE/PED BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the City of Burlingame has applied and been recommended
for $152,000 in (STP or CMAQ) funding for the Beach Road Bike/Ped
Bridge which includes removal of the existing old unsafe bridge and
replacement with a 12 ft. x 130 ft. arched steel bridge across the
Burlingame Channel in the 1995 Transportation Improvement Program
(TIP) adopted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and
approved by the Federal Highway Administration; and
WHEREAS, a prerequisite for inclusion in the 1995 TIP is the
adoption of a local resolution saying that
1. The project will be built as described above;
2. Twenty percent (20%) of total project costs (in local matching
funds will be provided by the City of Burlingame; and
3. The City of Burlingame understands that the STP/CMAQ funding
is fixed at $152,000, and therefore any cost increases cannot
be expected to be funded with STP/CMAQ funds.
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BURLINGAME at a meeting
held on June 7, 1993 by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS HARRISON, KNIGHT, LEMBI, O'MAHONY, PAGLIARO
NOES: COUNCILMEMBERS NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBERS NONE
